Instead of doing monthly favorites posts like I did in 2018, I decided to stretch it out to seasonal favorites for the new year. This way, I actually have new and different things to share with you. Also, I can get a little more variety in my blog posts, especially since I’m working with once or twice a week right now. I’m excited to get back to my favorites posts though, sharing some new and exciting things with you that I bought, tried, and loved this past winter!

Do // Hal Higdon 5K Training After years of pushing off actually doing it, I’m running a race! This Memorial Day, I will be trekking up to Spring Lake, NJ to run the Spring Lake 5 Miler. My grandfather ran this race many times, and it’s my goal to beat his slowest time of 58:28, or an 11:42 pace. I have a LOT of work to do before May, and I’m a little nervous, but very excited! I’m partially though Hal Higdon’s Novice 5K training, and going to swing into the 10K training after that. If I stay on track, (fingers crossed!) I should be set to comfortably run the 5 miles, If anyone knows of a 5K race between now and the end of April though, let a girl know!

Read // An Edited Life I preordered Anna Newton’s book back in, like, October and then completely forgot about it until it showed up in the mail just last week. I love Anna’s channel and style and just everything. When she announced her book, I just had to order it. I cannot wait to crack it open and get down the nitty-gritty of organizing and living an edited life!

Watch // First Wives Club     This is far from a new movie, but this is hands down one of my favorite movies of all time, and absolutely a top 3 when I need a good pick-me-up movie. Highly recommended, a must watch.

Listen // chill I have been a longtime fan of Allana Davison, a Canadian beauty and lifestyle blogger. Lately, I have been loving her Spotify playlists, especially this one, chill. I listen when I’m driving, doing laundry, writing, whatever. It’s good more updated music than I usually listen to (I’m the queen of out of the loop music taste), and I really do love it. L

Taste // Chicken Tikka Masala Shout-out to the Beau for this one, he found this recipe and insisted we make it, and it was absolutely delicious. It was a big deal finding this recipe, because it’s dairy free and most tikka masala is not. It’s pretty easy to cook and doesn’t require a lot of wild ingredients, except for garam masala, which we didn’t use on our first cook, and I think you’re better off without! Check out the recipe from Chef John here.

Wear // Missy Chilli Red Turtleneck Sweater     I have been buying a lot from Amazon lately and I’m loving it. This sweater is no exception*. It was the first of my purchases, and I’ve been wearing it nonstop since! It was really stinky when it came out of the bag, but after a quick wash on cold, it turned out totally fine! It’s so soft, and I love it, even though it sticks to everything. I bought a medium, it’s true to size but oversized. it’s super warm, perfect for layering, and so comfortable!

Work // Social Media Marketing Foundations This is a two-hour course from Lynda.com that I have just started, and I’m really liking it so far. It covers the very basics, which is good for people who are new to social media marketing, but for me, it’s a little repetitive. That being said, it’s never a bad thing to remind yourself of the basics to these things. If you’re interested in checking out the course, click here. As a note, this course is not free, but I get it for free through my university. Check with your school to see if they offer a partnership!

Want // The Wing Keytag I have a one-sided love affair with The Wing. Seriously, I am dying to get to a city that has one. It seems like the much cooler, more millennial version of the Junior League, and I am here for that. Since I can’t support The Wing as a member, I was looking at their merch. Like, half the store was on my Christmas list, no shame. If I had to pick one thing I want AKA need right now, it is this adorable metal key tag. I need to replace my key lanyard, these aren’t too big or expensive, and it’s a slogan we all should be living by. The only question is, what color??

The spring season is officially kicking off, despite the weather’s insistence otherwise. I am so looking forward to the next few weeks of nothing but allergies, homework, and sweating my ass off in the gym. By the time Spring Favorites rolls around, I’m going to be a lean, stressed-out, sneezing machine.

Closing out this favorites post, what were your favorite things this Winter? Are you emotionally ready for Spring too? Let me know!
