Unpopular Opinion: Halloween is the worst for glasses wearers. Hear me out.
I have worn glasses since the second grade and I love my glasses. I think they’re a huge asset to my style, my face, my confidence, and obviously, my sight. Some fellow four-eyes prefer contacts, but I absolutely do not. I love my glasses, and nothing you say will make me get rid of them. When Halloween rolls around though, I want to just go right ahead and buy some new eyes.
A majority of the best Halloween costumes do not need glasses. One I always wanted to be, Frida Khalo. No glasses. One year I was a gypsy/mystic thing. It was a terrible costume, but my very dark, very thin mid-2000’s frames certainly didn’t help the look. This year I wanted to be Mia from Pulp Fiction. Nope, no glasses. The #1 costume people recommended to me in college? Sexy Librarian. Seriously. Can’t. Won’t. I refuse.
In a strangely timed morning mini-rage, I’m here to inform all of my fellow four-eyed ladies of some amazing Halloween costumes for you. Recommendations for outfit, hair, and where to find the glasses!
I know, a typical glasses girl go-to, but a classic nonetheless! Definitely a great option if you and the gang are looking for a group costume!

Ruth Bader Ginsburg
If you’re looking for a non-fiction BA lady to be for Halloween, RBG is the obvious choice. Plus, this is probably the easiest one, just wear whatever is comfortable under the robe!
And another BA lady of history. For the sake of costuming, I went with the Doctor Who version. This was still one of the hardest outfits to find. I would highly suggest shopping through thrift stores to find the right pieces
It’s not an exhaustive list, but these are just some of the best Halloween costumes for my fellow glasses wearing ladies. Please note, none of these links are my affiliate links!
